When asked about how she maintained her energy and commitment to life, she would settle back with a Limoncello and say, "Smoke and mirrors, smoke and mirrors." A woman of courage and zest, a few days after becoming a widow she dyed her hair bright red and forged on. She attended every PIC Birmingham, AL show with a large Unitarian Universalist "back-up" crowd -- part PIC fans and part Garron-retinue. We loved her support during our first decade.
